Now, while I must agree that Moffat is “ambitious” and certainly wants to break from the mold previously created for the 50 year old series, I can’t help but think that he has made extremely enormous sacrifices to do this. I never wanted to believe it before as I am a huge fan of his “Empty Child” arc as well as “Blink” and “Silence in the Library” arc, but this man has an elephant sized ego. No. Not elephant. What’s bigger than an elephant? Well. A Bigger-Than-an-Elephant sized ego.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I don’t like Moffat. Not at all. He managed to find a way to make his own characters more important than any other character previously created on this show.

I spent a month and a half writing an essay on Doctor Who and how the female companions have been reduced in importance and efficiency as of series 7. Now I can’t watch the episodes without wincing.
